Jeremy Blake

Jeremy Blake is a Senior Principal and Strategy Team Member of Purcell Miller Tritton LLP, architects, designers and listed building consultants that continues to win major awards for its work. The practice celebrated 60 years last year and is the largest of its kind in the UK with 11 offices to deliver local sensitivity with national capability. The practice is responsible for 8 cathedrals, Historic Royal Palaces and many national monuments including Scott’s Hut on the Antarctic.  He heads up Shh! Sustainable heritage hotels, the hotel sector within the practice, that is delivering ground breaking green and sustainable hotels on a commercially viable basis for a range of hoteliers and clients across the UK and abroad.

Jeremy has been responsible for the award-winning Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire and 4 BREEAM Excellent buildings including the Adnams Distribution Centre in Suffolk. Current hotel projects range from the recladding of a hotel in Mayfair with a ‘living wall’ to luxury hotels in country estates in Surrey, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Wiltshire, Gwynedd and Co Laois. Hotels in listed buildings include the Royal Insurance Building, Liverpool, Manchester Fire & Police Station and Wentworth Woodhouse in Yorkshire that has the longest classical façade in the UK. Overseas projects include green and sustainable resorts on ten islands worldwide and the restoration of a luxury 6* hotel in an original C19th Thomas Cook building in Egypt.

He also heads up the Sustainability Group with Sustainability Champions across the practice to ensure every aspect of the business and its wide range of projects are established on best practice within a green and sustainable agenda. The practice is on the Green Register of Architects and is currently securing ISO 14001 across all 11 offices.
